| JFK CHAPTER 153 |
| In about six months, we will be into the peak of summer travel here at the airport. Greater volume requires a larger workforce. As there is no voluminous influx of new officers on the horizon, Management will look to staff the terminals using Overtime. That may mean that some of those who are low in money will be more susceptible to the draft. This is nothing new; it has been standard practice for JFK. The callout list is sent out to members so that you can keep track of your ranking. Provisions for Overtime Procedures can be found in the contract under Article 35 Section 1 (d) and (e). Unless this is the first summer of your employment, you should be aware of the potential for being drafted at the end of your tour as well as other times. If you think you may be subject to frequent drafting during the summer, now is the time to consider boosting your overtime number. |
Congratulation to one of our officers on his new baby daughter. On behalf of NTEU 153, we want to welcome baby Victoria to the world and the Tomaszycki family. |
